SUMMARY:

Responsible for the safe, professional, and timely transportation of refrigerated and/or food-grade freight throughout the company's operating area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Transport refrigerated, frozen, dry and/or other food-grade commodities as assigned via intrastate and interstate Comply with Hours-of-Service regulations and properly use the company's electronic logging device (ELD). Complete required pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections. Promptly report equipment defects or safety concerns. Follow all procedures regarding food safety, trailer cleanliness, product integrity, seal requirements, and temperature-controlled freight. Submit required paperwork, bills of lading, receipts, inspection documents, and other trip documentation accurately and within required timeframes. Must successfully pass renewal of DOT physical and required drug tests. Must maintain clean transportation equipment and personal appearance. Works with Transportation Manager on schedules On Time Delivery Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required level of experience : 23 years of age with 2 years OTR reefer experience preferred. Valid CDL license with good driving record. Meet all applicable

DOT/FMCSA

driver qualification requirements. Meet and maintain company insurance guidelines. Current DOT physical; Required pre-employment drug test. Work well with buyers, plant personnel and maintain confidentiality.
