As a Sales Associate in our Retail sector, you'll learn to drive paint, coatings, and surface treatment sales while supporting daily store operations. You will engage customers, provide product recommendations, manage inventory, and assist with merchandising. Responsibilities Engage retail customers, understand needs, and recommend Sherwin-Williams paints, coatings, and related products Support daily store operations including opening/closing tasks, cash handling, and transaction processing Assist with tinting, mixing, and preparing paint orders to meet customer specifications Maintain merchandising standards, including stocking, labeling, and product displays Build product knowledge across paints, coatings, and surface treatments through hands-on learning and training Support business development by identifying add-on sales and potential commercial customer leads Provide accurate technical and application guidance within defined safety and product guidelines Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment following company safety procedures Collaborate with team members and leaders to meet sales targets and service goals Participate in structured management and sales training, coaching, and performance feedback sessions Required Skills Customer service Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Product knowledge in paints and coatings Basic color matching and tinting Inventory management Merchandising and visual display Verbal and written communication Time management and organization Basic data entry and MS Office skills
