BUDTENDER, GREEN TEMPLE DISPENSARY, TROY, IL

The Budtender assists with the day-to-day operations of the dispensary and provides support for the management team. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance of State regulations and company procedures. The role requires excellent leadership qualities and the ability to learn about inventory and products. The Budtender/Sales Agent must be passionate about their role and have a strong willingness to help people become educated about cannabis. Responsibilities Provide courteous customer service Follow and uphold established policies, procedures, and regulations Maintain knowledge of all products and strains in the store as well as State-wide product knowledge Train and share knowledge with other members of the team Assist with monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring an assortment of product, and communicating inventory action items with Management and Shift Supervisor Complete and appropriately delegate tasks assigned during scheduled shift, including: Correct cash handling Accurate use and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) system Accurate and timely data entry in both the POS system and inventory tracking system Assistance in verifying order deliveries for accuracy Ensure adherence with security measures and safety compliance Maintenance of an organized and clean store Management of visitor log Ensure accuracy of the vault inventory Assist Management team in operation of dispensary Daily activities, maintenance, and data collection for any reported issues and/or complaints Qualifications 1+ years of cannabis retail experience preferred. 1+ years using METRC or similar inventory tracking software preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Accountability for others. Balanced and intuitive decision making. Practical and active thinking. Ability to operate within a highly-organized workplace. Additional Requirements Minimum of 21 years of age. Must pass any and all required background checks. Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 15 pounds. This job function may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching. Salary and Benefits $16/hr. plus tips ($3-$4/hr.) Totaling $19-$20/hr.
