Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions. Handle cash and manage cash handling procedures accurately. Maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandise display through effective merchandising techniques. Assist with stocking shelves and replenishing inventory as needed. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable options. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Ensure compliance with store policies regarding phone etiquette and customer interactions. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards. Skills Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Experience in retail sales, preferably in a grocery store environment. Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations. Proficiency in cashiering procedures, including cash handling and POS operation. Ability to supervise junior staff or assist in training new employees is a plus. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to a diverse customer base. Knowledge of merchandising principles to enhance product visibility and appeal. Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
