Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Sales Associate, where your expertise in warehouse equipment and materials handling will drive customer satisfaction and sales success. In this energetic role, you will combine your knowledge of forklift operation, warehouse management, and logistics to assist clients in selecting the right equipment solutions. Your proactive approach and technical skills will ensure smooth sales processes, proper equipment demonstrations, and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of industrial equipment sales while supporting efficient warehouse operations. Responsibilities Assist customers in selecting forklifts and related material handling equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts. Demonstrate proper forklift operation techniques, emphasizing safety protocols and equipment features. Conduct on-site equipment inspections, identify maintenance or repair needs, and coordinate with service teams for repairs or upgrades. Manage inventory levels of forklifts and accessories using warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology to ensure accurate stock records. Support shipping and receiving activities by loading/unloading materials safely using appropriate equipment like load & unload pallets and manual handling tools. Educate customers on warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations, forklift safety protocols, heavy lifting procedures, and manual handling best practices. Maintain detailed records of sales transactions, customer interactions, equipment demonstrations, and safety compliance documentation. Skills Proven experience operating various types of forklifts including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, lift trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management practices, and barcode scanning for logistics purposes. Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes such as order picking, shipping & receiving, load & unload operations. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurement conversions accurately. Excellent understanding of warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols. Experience with materials handling equipment repair or troubleshooting is a plus. Effective communication skills to educate customers on equipment features and safety procedures confidently.
