Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Additional paid hours, overtime opportunities, and occasional travel Crescent Stamp & Engraving is a small custom engraving and production studio in Metairie. We create everything from awards, plaques, signage, and rubber stamps to engraved glassware, papercrafts, artwork, and custom gifts. We also produce our own lines of art and retail products, which are sold through our shop, retail partners, and events. While we use plenty of modern technology, we think of ourselves as an art shop at heart. We're all artisans in what we do, whether that's engraving glass, creating a custom award, assembling a piece of artwork, or figuring out how to bring a customer's idea to life. We're looking for a full-time Production & Retail Associate to join our small team. This is primarily a production position, with customer service and order management mixed into the day. No experience with our specific equipment is required. We're happy to train someone who is comfortable with computers, enjoys making things, and is eager to learn. What You'll Be Doing Production & Creative Work Learn to operate laser engraving and cutting machines, UV printers, and other specialized equipment. Produce custom awards, plaques, signs, engraved glassware, stamps, artwork, and gifts. Help create and assemble our in-house art and retail product lines, including paper crafts and other mixed-media projects. Work with a variety of materials and techniques, including measuring, cutting, assembling, fastening, gluing, and finishing. Prepare basic artwork and digital files for production. Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and consistency, and recognize when something needs to be corrected before it reaches a customer. Customer Service & Orders Help customers in person, by phone, and through email. Take orders, answer questions, and help customers find solutions for their projects. Prepare invoices, process payments, and keep orders organized. Communicate with teammates to keep projects moving and meet deadlines. Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop. What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and quality. Someone who notices when something looks wrong, doesn't match the order, or could be improved, and takes the initiative to address it. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow through on responsibilities. Comfortable using computers and learning new software. Friendly, professional, and able to communicate clearly with customers and coworkers. Curious, willing to learn, and comfortable trying unfamiliar tools or processes. Able to manage multiple projects and switch between tasks as priorities change. Comfortable working independently while contributing to a small team. Experience with Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW is preferred but not required. Experience in printing, crafts, engraving, art production, or retail is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person. Schedule & Additional Opportunities Our regular hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. We also occasionally provide on-site engraving and personalization at events. These may involve evenings, weekends, or compensated out-of-state travel a few times each year. Additional paid hours and overtime opportunities are available. Physical Requirements This is an active position involving standing for extended periods, using tools and production equipment, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. Working at Crescent Stamp We're a small team, and everyone contributes.

you might spend part of the morning engraving glasses, the afternoon assembling artwork, and the next day learning to operate a new piece of equipment.
