Symmetry is a full-service jewelry store offering traditional jewelry repairs, antique jewelry restoration, and the finest in original custom design. We were founded in 1975. We feature local, national, and international jewelry designers. We also have an extensive collection of antique and estate jewelry. Job Brief We are looking for a responsible, results-driven, and highly motivated Sales Associate who is ready to take on all sales responsibilities from providing appropriate product solutions for our customers to nurture them through the purchase flow from start to finish. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about jewelry and be receptive to learning CAD design software as part of our custom sales process. Responsibilities Welcomes customers by greeting them. Advises and educates customer by providing information on products. Sells merchandise to consistently meet or exceed sales expectations. Provides outstanding customer service and a high-quality shopping experience to grow customer base. Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records. Processes payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash, and store or other credit cards. Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest. Maintains professional communication with clients throughout ongoing projects. Oversees jewelry repairs, including but not limited to: inspecting and evaluating pieces, maintaining accurate records, consulting with jewelers, and developing creative solutions. Contributes to team effort by collaborating and assisting others when needed. Performs store set up and closing operations, including opening and closing office area and moving jewelry to and from safe and display areas. Performs basic store maintenance, merchandising, and other required activities to keep store clean, safe, and inviting. Requirements Able to work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule (9am-5:30pm, with a half hour break) Listening, Customer Service, Meeting Sales Goals, Selling to Customer Needs, Product Knowledge, People Skills, Energy Level, Dependability, General Math Skills, Adept at using technology and specialized tools, Time management, Willingness to continually grow and learn from mistakes, Strong Communication & Organizational skills required. Previous experience preferred by not required. Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences. Preferences Education from Gemological Institute of America Prior Fine Jewelry Sales Experience Prior Custom Jewelry Sales Experience Pay Minimum starting $18 an hour. Base pay offered will vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
