Job Description

Job purpose Tokyo Anime Center is committed to bringing Japanese Pop Culture to the US offering a fun and exciting experience for both locals and tourists. We pride ourselves on creating an engaging atmosphere where our guests can enjoy Gashapon machines and Anime photo experiences as well as learn more about the latest Japanese Anime. We re looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Retail Store Team Lead to lead our team and ensure our store operates smoothly. Duties and responsibilities Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff members. Enthusiasm for Japanese POP culture Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction. Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring it opens and closes on time. Maintain a clean and organized store environment. Oversee the planning, setup, and maintenance of store visual displays ensuring brand standards Assist in minimizing inventory loss by monitoring high-risk areas, addressing theft and fraud concerns, and training employees on loss prevention best practices. Learn how to operate all the machines. Technical ability to execute simple repairs when needed Restock and maintain machines to ensure they re in optimal working condition. Supported daily store operations by supervising a team of 4-6 associates, coordinating schedules, delivering training, and managing employee performance. Work to meet or exceed all goals set by company Maintain a clean and safe store environment in compliance with state and company health and safety regulations Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed Effectively communicate store updates, concerns and progress with management Create Social Media Content and/or appearing in videos and photos to promote store products and customer experiences. Other projects and responsibilities as assigned. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends Positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers, staff and management Excellent customer service skills Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Organizational and time management skills Strong leadership and management abilities Ability to effectively write, communicate and present information professionally Proficient in computer use such as spreadsheets, presentations, email, etc. Content creation experience is a plus. Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent At least 3 years of proven experience in a store managerial role, preferably in retail or entertainment. High energy with a passion for customer service. Ability to think creatively and solve problems effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong cash handling skills. Supervisory Responsibilities Support day-to-day team operations in accordance with company policies, including guiding and training associates, assigning and prioritizing tasks during shifts, and monitoring performance. Help address associate questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues to the Store Manager as needed.
