Job Description
Now Hiring at Affamata We are looking for a friendly, attentive individual to join our energetic and close-knit team as a Retail Associate. Affamata is a boutique style culinary store specializing in kitchen goods and gourmet foods located near the waterfront in downtown Newburyport.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting customers on the sales floor, over the phone, and by email.
- Demonstrating extensive product knowledge over time.
- Bottling, sealing and labeling our oil and vinegar as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and neat environment.
- Receiving inventory and stocking shelves.
- Packing and shipping online orders.
Candidate must be:
- Reliable and able to work shifts that have been agreed upon.
- Friendly towards customers and a good team player.
- Organized and able to maintain a neat workspace.
- Able to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- An independent worker and self-starter.
- Able to lift 35lbs, bend and kneel, and stand for several hours at a time.
- Must be able to work every other weekend.
- Hours - Part time 12-24 hours per week
- Must be able to work every other weekend and during the holiday season (Thanksgiving - New Year's Eve.
