Required the Internship Panopticon Imaging is a professional photographic ing, film processing, darkroom, scanning, and custom framing lab located in Rockland, Massachusetts. We are seeking a motivated photography student or emerging photographer interested in gaining hands-on experience in a working professional photo lab. This internship offers an opportunity to learn how a professional photographic lab operates while working alongside practicing artists and experienced imaging professionals. Interns will be exposed to both analog and digital photography workflows, from film intake and processing through scanning, ing, finishing, quality control, and order fulfillment. Panopticon Imaging is a one-stop photographic shop providing film processing, darkroom ing, digital ing, film scanning, digital restorations, custom framing, matting, and mounting. We work with a diverse range of clients, including local, national, and international photographers, artists, educators, institutions, historical archives, and museums. Our staff are practicing artists themselves, and we take pride in producing work that meets a high standard of technical quality and craftsmanship. Small business operations Responsibilities Interns will assist with the day-to-day operations of the photographic lab, including: Assisting with film intake andanization, including labeling, logging, and preparing film for processing
Supporting film processing and darkroom workflows under supervision
Assisting with film scanning, fileanization, and basic image cleanup
Preparing digital files and materials for ing and finishing
Participating in quality-control checks for scans, s, andpleted orders
Assisting with studio and lab maintenance, including cleaning work areas,anizing equipment and tools, and restocking supplies
ing with order packing, client pickups, and shipping preparation
Providing general operational support to keep the labanized and running efficiently
Learning about workflow management, scheduling, clientmunication, and other aspects of running a small creative business
Qualifications:
Qualifications & Skills Current photography students are strongly preferred. Candidates should have a working knowledge of photography and an interest in learning professional photographic production.

Applicants must be able to receive school credit through their college or university. We cannot accept applicants who are unable to receive academic credit for this internship. Transportation Applicants must have reliable transportation to our Rockland, Massachusetts location. The lab is not conveniently accessible by public transportation.
