Fairway Packing has been family-owned since 1956, with a reputation built around exceptional meat and premium products. The Steak Shop offers everything from Choice and Prime beef to Wagyu, dry-aged steaks, custom-blend burgers, pork, poultry, lamb, seafood, BBQ cuts, and specialty items. We're looking for someone who understands that selling a great steak is about more than ringing up a transaction. Our customers rely on our team for product knowledge, recommendations, preparation ideas, and an exceptional experience from the moment they walk through the door. Culinary, restaurant, butcher shop, specialty food, grocery, or premium retail experience is strongly preferred. What You'll Do Lead the day-to-day retail floor and set the standard for exceptional customer service Create a welcoming, knowledgeable, and high-energy shopping experience Engage with customers and confidently recommend products based on their needs Help customers understand different cuts, grades, preparation methods, and cooking techniques Lead, coach, and support retail team members throughout each shift Help train employees on products, customer service, food handling, and store procedures Maintain clean, organized, attractive, and fully stocked retail displays Monitor product levels and communicate inventory and ordering needs Receive, rotate, merchandise, package, and stock products as needed Operate the POS system and ensure accurate cash handling Complete opening and closing responsibilities Maintain high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, food safety, and presentation Help drive retail sales through strong product knowledge and customer relationships Work closely with management to continuously improve store operations and the customer experience Be willing to jump in wherever needed — this is a hands-on leadership position What We're Looking For Previous experience in retail, culinary, restaurant, grocery, meat, specialty food, or hospitality Leadership, supervisory, or key-holder experience preferred Strong interest in food, cooking, steaks, and premium meat products Excellent customer-service and communication skills Ability to confidently engage customers and make recommendations Reliable, organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Comfortable leading by example and working alongside the team Ability to work in a fast-paced retail food environment Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing the physical duties of the position Weekend availability and scheduling flexibility as needed Compensation $23-$25 per hour, based on experience Why Fairway Packing?
