Overview If you enjoy the outdoors, hunting and fishing, this is a great opportunity to join our team at Hardcore Outfitters as a Sporting Goods Sales & Technical Service Associate. In this role, you will combine your passion for the outdoors with technical expertise to assist customers in selecting the right gear, demonstrate product features, and provide exceptional service. You will also be trained to become an archery technician to properly set up, tune and repair compound bows and crossbows. Your energy and knowledge will help create a vibrant, engaging environment that encourages customers in their outdoor pursuits while ensuring smooth retail operations. Responsibilities Greet customers and actively engage with them to understand their needs and preferences Provide detailed product demonstrations, explaining features, benefits, and proper usage of equipment and accessories Assist customers with retail sales transactions using Shopify POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring accurate cash handling and register operations Train to become a bow technician to properly set up, tune, and repair compound bows and crossbows Train to build and install strings and cables on compound and crossbows. Upsell complementary products and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Stock shelves efficiently, maintain organized displays, and ensure all merchandise is well-presented according to merchandising standards Conduct product demos for new or specialized sporting gear to educate customers on proper use and benefits Handle cash register operations accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and managing the cash drawer during shifts Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing customer support remotely Support inventory management by stocking new merchandise, conducting stock counts, and assisting with stock replenishment Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing questions promptly, providing expert advice on retail store product knowledge, and fostering a welcoming environment Experience Passion for the outdoors, specifically hunting and fishing. Mechanical aptitude Hands on person willing to be trained as a bow technician Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in sporting goods, but not required Strong communication skills Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionallyThis role is perfect for energetic individuals who thrive in a lively retail environment and are passionate about hunting and fishing.
