Bearcub Outfitters is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented, tech-comfortable person to join our team in a unique full-time position that combines retail sales with e-commerce and website product management . This is a great position for someone who enjoys working with people, is very comfortable using computers, and likes the idea of working for a locally owned outdoor store. What You'll Do You'll spend approximately 3-4 shifts each week working on our sales floor , where you'll: Help customers find the right products Learn about the outdoor clothing, footwear and gear we sell Work closely with the rest of the Bearcub team Help keep the store organized, stocked and looking great Become familiar with our products, brands and customers The remainder of your workweek will generally be spent working on our website.

Responsibilities will include:

Adding and publishing products to our website Entering and maintaining product information Finding and organizing product descriptions and images Checking product information for accuracy Keeping online products organized and up to date Learning and working within our point-of-sale and website systems Helping with other computer-based projects as needed The sales floor portion of this job is important. We want the person managing our products online to actually know our store and merchandise — to have seen the products, touched them, talked about them with customers, and understand why we sell them. Who We're Looking For You do not need previous e-commerce experience, but you do need to be someone who is comfortable with technology and learns new computer systems quickly.

Extremely comfortable using computers and web-based applications Detail-oriented and accurate Organized and able to work independently Comfortable learning new software and systems Friendly and confident working with customers A good communicator and team member Willing to ask questions and learn Able to switch comfortably between customer-facing work and focused computer work Interested in outdoor clothing, footwear and gear Experience with retail, e-commerce, website management, Microsoft Teams, point-of-sale systems, product data entry, photography or digital marketing is a plus, but not required . Schedule & Availability This is a full-time, in-person position at Bearcub Outfitters in Petoskey, Michigan. Applicants must be able to work onsite in Petoskey. Bearcub is open seven days a week, and our team generally works 8-9 hour shifts . Your regular schedule will include some weekend shifts. Store hours vary throughout the year, from approximately 10am-6pm during quieter seasons to 9am-9pm during the summer and holiday periods. Applicants should have the flexibility to work within our store hours, including some weekends.
