this is not that job. THE GIG This role is four jobs wearing a trench coat. Some of your shift you're running curbside. Some of it you're behind the counter selling. Some of it you're on the road delivering. Some of it you're at the front desk. All of it can happen in the same shift. Your Shift Lead moves you where the store needs you, and what the store needs changes roughly every ninety minutes. If you need to know exactly what you'll be doing at 3:15 PM, we're going to make each other miserable. If you'd rather the day move fast, read on.

THE MONEY

Base is $14/hour. Tips are where this job actually pays. Typical tip earnings, per hour worked:

Monday-Wednesday:

$4-7/hr → typically $18-21/hr all in

Thursday, Saturday, Sunday:

$6-9/hr → typically $20-23/hr all in

Friday:

north of $10/hr all day → typically $24+/hr all in And that's before contests. $14/hour base — same rate no matter which of the four hats you're wearing Non-pooled tips. Yours. Not "the team's." Most places say "flexible schedule" and mean "flexible for us." Here's how it actually works at

Planted:

you tell us when you want to work. You submit your availability, we build the schedule around it. If what you give us makes sense for the business, that's your schedule. Time off is even simpler. Schedules post every Friday, two weeks out. Get your request in electronically before that Friday's schedule is built and it's approved. Period. Not "we'll see." Not "depends on coverage." In before the deadline means you're off. We don't say no. It's all electronic, so there's a timestamp — no "I told somebody," no lost paper, no debate about who said what.

Rule of thumb:

put in for a day off about three weeks ahead and you're always safe. Miss the Friday and we'll still try, we just can't promise it. We're not doing you a favor by being flexible — it's how we run. People who can plan their lives show up in a better mood, and it turns out that's good for business.

What we do need:

weekend and Sunday coverage. That's when the store is busiest and when the tips are best, so it tends to work out for everyone. Up to 40 hours a week across openings, mids, and closings.

Heads up on late nights:

this position can run until midnight. Not every shift, not most shifts — but if a midnight close is a hard no for you, this isn't the right fit. Go in knowing it's on the table.

Also:

it's retail, and it's cannabis retail, so approximately once a week something genuinely strange will happen. We need someone who finds that funny instead of upsetting.

THE BACKBONE

Let's be honest about this one: curbside is the most important job in the building. Everything else works because curbside works. Pack orders accurately and fast — a wrong order is a delivery that fails twice Stage deliveries so drivers roll out on time, which is the entire reason our delivery windows hold Handle curbside guests start to finish Answer the phones and actually solve what the person called about When curbside is dialed in, the store hums. When it isn't, the drivers are late, the counter backs up, and everyone has a bad day. We're looking for someone who wants that responsibility, not someone who thinks it's the easy station.

BEHIND THE COUNTER

Help guests navigate flower, vapes, edibles, and concentrates — including the gentleman who will describe a cart he had in 2019 and expect you to identify it Check IDs. Every time. Yes, even the guy who's "been coming here for years." Ring accurately on Dutchie POS Keep the floor clean, stocked, and looking like someone works here Give an actual recommendation instead of gesturing at a shelf and saying "that one's popular"

ON THE ROAD

Run deliveries in company vehicles using Onfleet dispatch Verify IDs and get signatures at every single stop, without exception, forever Drive like your insurance agent is in the passenger seat judging you. Because functionally, he is. Return the vehicle on time, undented, and with the gas you started with

AT THE FRONT DESK

Check guests in, keep the queue moving, set the tone for the whole visit Be the first face people see, which means being pleasant at 9 AM on a Sunday

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

21 or older (non-negotiable, it's the whole industry) Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Able to pass the Michigan CRA background check 1-2 years in sales, serving, hosting, events, or promo work — anywhere you had to read a stranger in ten seconds and be useful Live within about 20 miles of Whitmore Lake Reliable and punctual, meaning you show up when you said you would, at the time you said it Able to keep five things straight at once without losing the sixth To drive, also: Valid Michigan license held continuously for 3+ years Clean MVR — no tickets, no at-fault accidents with citations in the last 3 years No DUI/OWI, reckless driving, or suspensions. No explanations that begin with "technically." Must qualify under our commercial auto insurance policy, which is stricter than us and cannot be charmed
