Job Description

Overview Job Title:
Head Golf Professional / Director of Golf in Training •
Requirement:
MUST be able to start Training in October 2026 or sooner for course opening 4/1/2027 Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated, PGA Class A Member or Associate on path to Class A to lead daily golf operations while undergoing a mentorship program to transition into a Director of Golf role by 2027 season. Working closely with the current Director of Golf, the selected candidate will initially assist in management of the golf shop, and staff, while expanding their responsibilities into budgeting, facility-wide strategic planning, and personnel management. Year-round Position.
Experience Required Qualifications Certification:
Class A PGA of America Membership in good standing or Associate on path to Class A.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Head Professional or Lead Assistant at a golf facility.
Technology:
Proficiency with golf management systems and
POS Soft Skills:
Strong financial acumen and excellent interpersonal communication Essential Responsibilities Phase 1:
Head Golf Professional Responsibilities Golf Operations:
Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the golf shop, practice facilities, and outside services.
Merchandising:
Manage golf shop inventory, displays, and purchasing, maintaining a highly profitable retail operation.
Staff Leadership:
Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor assistant professionals, shop attendants, and outside service staff Phase 2:
Director of Golf Training & Executive Development Financial Management:
Collaborate on the creation, monitoring, and forecasting of the annual golf operations budget.
Strategic Planning:
Participate in long-range planning, capital improvement projects, and facility-wide policy enforcement.
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
Work with the Golf Course Superintendent and Food & Beverage to coordinate a seamless club experience.
Leadership Mentorship:
Participate in staff meetings, gaining experience in executive decision making.
Benefits Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
Head Golf Professional $59,000 annually through May 15th, 2027, Director of Golf $95,000 commensurate with transition from Head Golf Professional.
