NB2A NB2A
Premium Cannabis is building a relationship-first cannabis retail experience rooted in respectful service, reliable operations, and disciplined compliance. Our NB2A behaviors guide every shift: Notice the Person, Be the Owner, honor our Two Absolutes, and Assist with Positive Energy. We treat every guest with dignity and zero judgment, take responsibility for finding the right solution, and never compromise on compliance or respect. Because we serve in a highly regulated environment, accuracy, confidentiality, and knowing when to pause and escalate matter just as much as product knowledge. At every step, we bring warm, calm, helpful energy while maintaining professionalism. The Opportunity The Guest Care Consultant is NB2A's primary guest-facing sales, service, check-in, and product-education role. Guest Care Consultants welcome customers, ask thoughtful questions, explain products in approved language, complete accurate transactions, and keep the store ready for the next guest. Prior cannabis experience is not required. We value people who are ethical, reliable, curious, accurate, and genuinely comfortable helping others without judgment. What You Will Own Welcome each guest with patience, warmth, and a relationship-first approach while communicating wait times and next steps clearly. After required training, verify registry cards, photo identification, cardholder status, customer profiles, and required transaction information before access or sale flow continues. Ask discovery questions about budget, product type, prior experience, intended experience, and preferences without diagnosing, promising an outcome, or giving medical advice. Explain product categories, cannabinoids, terpenes, formats, onset or duration expectations, label information, and commonly reported effects using accurate, non-promissory language. Build and verify carts, complete standard point-of-sale transactions, apply only authorized promotions, issue receipts, and maintain highly accurate cash handling. Pick and stage approved online, kiosk, and preorder transactions; verify the correct product, package, quantity, label, price, and guest before handoff. Maintain sales-floor readiness through approved restocking, backstock requests, product organization, menu awareness, supply checks, and cleaning tasks. Support receiving, counts, product movement, and inventory-related steps only within assigned training; leave final acceptance, Metrc action, adjustments, and discrepancy decisions to authorized roles. Write only factual, neutral, minimal guest notes and protect cardholder, transaction, and company information. Complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, product-knowledge, training, and checklist tasks and communicate unfinished work in the shift handoff. Pause and involve a leader for invalid documents, disputed eligibility, purchase-limit questions, refunds, hostile behavior, suspected theft, product or inventory mismatch, cash discrepancy, outage, or any request outside training. Decision Rights and Boundaries Guest Care Consultants may complete standard sales and guest-facing tasks only after required training and within assigned system permissions. Do not independently approve manual discounts, returns, refunds, voids, receiving discrepancies, inventory adjustments, catalog changes, or Metrc actions. Never make a medical claim, guarantee an effect, tell a guest to change prescribed treatment, skip an identification or eligibility control, or improvise when uncertain. What Success Looks Like Accurate check-in, profiles, transactions, product selection, cash handling, and fulfillment. Warm, professional, zero-judgment service and strong guest feedback. Growing product knowledge and disciplined, compliant product language. Reliable attendance, task completion, communication, and clean shift handoffs. Fast, honest escalation of mistakes, discrepancies, safety concerns, and uncertainty. What You Bring (Required) At least 21 years of age and able to satisfy all Minnesota cannabis employment requirements. A guest-first attitude, dependable attendance, integrity, and a willingness to learn detailed procedures. Clear verbal and written communication and comfort asking questions when unsure. Accuracy with cash, numbers, product details, identification, and computer or mobile systems after training. Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods, guest concerns, or changing priorities. Availability to work the schedule required by the store. Preferred Retail, restaurant, hospitality, customer-service, cash-handling, inventory, or sales experience. Interest in cannabis education and a structured growth path; prior cannabis experience is not required. Schedule and Work Environment This is an on-site retail role in a secure, camera-monitored cannabis dispensary. The position requires regular interaction with guests, coworkers, cash, technology, product, and controlled-access areas. Scheduling is based on business need and may include opening, closing, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. With or without reasonable accommodation, perform essential tasks that may include prolonged standing or walking, frequent communication, computer and point-of-sale use, bending and reaching, and occasionally moving merchandise or supplies weighing up to 25 pounds. If the assigned job includes driving, maintain a valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and any required insurance or company authorization. Conditions of Employment Must be at least 21 years of age. Employment is contingent on completion of the criminal-history background check required before work begins and confirmation that no disqualifying felony offense bars employment under Minnesota law. Must complete all required role, cardholder-interaction, identification, purchase-limit, inventory, security, safety, and system training before performing controlled tasks independently. Must wear required identification, protect confidential information, use only assigned credentials, and follow all state, local, license, company, and store procedures. Must comply with company workplace-safety, substance-use, and fitness-for-duty policies, including no consumption on establishment property and no working while impaired. Equal Opportunity and Accommodations. NB2A Premium Cannabis is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified applicants and employees.
