SPJ is sold through our website, Nordstrom.com, select boutiques and in-person events. We are looking for a warm, polished and dependable Jewelry Brand Ambassador & Event Sales Associate to represent SPJ at local shopping events, boutique pop-ups and community events. About the Role This is a customer-facing sales position for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people and helping them find jewelry they love. The ideal candidate is personable, confident and attentive. You will learn the SPJ story and collection, demonstrate our reversible designs, offer thoughtful styling suggestions and create a welcoming experience for every customer. Responsibilities Welcome customers and begin friendly, natural conversations Share the SPJ story and explain product materials, features and benefits Demonstrate reversible jewelry and help customers explore different ways to wear each piece Offer thoughtful product and styling recommendations Answer questions about pricing, sizing, care and store policies Process purchases accurately using the point-of-sale system Keep jewelry displays organized, polished and fully stocked Assist with event preparation, setup and breakdown Represent SPJ professionally throughout the event Who You Are Warm, engaging and comfortable approaching new people An excellent listener with strong interpersonal skills Confident speaking about products and making recommendations Professional, polished and dependable Naturally helpful and persuasive without using high-pressure sales tactics Attentive to details and able to handle transactions accurately Comfortable learning product information and jewelry demonstrations Able to work independently while also partnering closely with the founder Genuinely interested in jewelry, fashion, styling and customer service Available for selected evenings and weekends Experience Previous experience in retail sales, jewelry, fashion, hospitality, events or customer service is preferred but not required. We are open to candidates with strong interpersonal skills, professionalism and a natural ability to connect with customers. Training on SPJ products, selling approach and event procedures will be provided. Schedule This is a part-time, event-based position in the St. Louis area. Hours will vary according to SPJ's event schedule, with the greatest need during the spring and holiday seasons. Shifts may include daytime, evening and weekend hours. Reliable transportation to local event venues is required. Ability to lift 30 pounds is required. Candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods and assisting with event displays and materials. Growth Opportunity This position is intended to grow with the right person.
