Job Description

Overview We are looking for an energetic, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a part-time Facilities Operations team member with room for growth within the company for the right person. As the first point of contact for our athletes and families, you will set the tone for the entire experience. Whether you're checking in a Little Leaguer for their first session or managing a busy weekend of team rentals, your goal is to keep the energy high and the operations smooth.
Key Responsibilities Customer Experience:
Greet guests, check in players for cage rentals, and handle walk-in inquiries with a friendly, "sport-first" attitude.
Scheduling & Booking:
Manage the facility's reservation software to book individual cages, pitching lanes, and team practices.
Sales & Transactions:
Process payments for rentals, memberships, and retail items (balls, bats, apparel) using the POS system.
Equipment Management:
Distribute and collect rental gear (helmets, bats); ensure pitching machines are functioning and balls are replenished.
Facility Upkeep:
Maintain a clean and safe lobby and viewing area. Perform light cleaning of cages between sessions if needed.
Safety Oversight:
Ensure all guests are following safety protocols, including wearing helmets and staying behind safety netting.
Qualifications People Skills:
Excellent communication skills and a "team player" mentality.
Tech Savvy:
Comfortable using booking software and POS systems (experience with Upperhand, Mindbody, or similar is a plus).
Multitasking:
Ability to handle a ringing phone, a line of customers, and equipment questions simultaneously.
Sports Interest:
A general knowledge of baseball, softball, or golf is preferred but not required.
Availability:
Must be able to work afternoons, evenings, and occasionally weekends, as these are our busiest "game times."
