Erck Hotels is seeking a Sales Associate to join our sales team in Great Falls. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented sales professional with strong ties to the Great Falls community. Under the direction of the Director of Sales, the Sales Associate is responsible for all administrative tasks of the sales office as well as working with the sales team in the promotion and sales of hotel accommodations and event spaces to potential clients and groups.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITES
Develop customized proposals based on the specific needs and preferences of clients Create, distribute, and manage all contract documents for groups and LNR clients Ensure all contract terms are clear, agreed upon, and adhered to Input and manage group and LNR information into property sales software programs (Salesforce and Hilton PMS systems) Maintain electronic and hard copies files of all sales related documents Work with General Manager and hotel staff to ensure all group and event payments are received as per contract terms Coordinate with General Manager and hotel staff to ensure all meeting rooms and events are managed in accordance with contracts
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES
Build and maintain relationships with key clients to secure new business and retain current guests. In collaboration with the property and property level sales team, promote and sell sleeping rooms and event spaces for conferences, meetings, and other gatherings.
- Work with event planners and coordinate logistics for group bookings.
- In collaboration with the Regional and Corporate Sales Teams, attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand the hotel's visibility and connect with potential clients Assist the revenue team in setting rates to achieve optimal revenue.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Extremely organized and able to work with distractions and meet deadlines
- Proven experience in sales, or a related sales role
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Effective written and oral communication and client relationship-building skills
- Develop knowledge of the hotel's facilities, services, and event spaces
- Proficiency in sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Analytical skills to assess market trends and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent computer skills including WORD, EXCEL, Outlook, and ability to learn various hotel specific software programs
- Ability to work on many projects/tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of a sales team
- Self-motivation and goal-oriented approach to sales
- Available to work outside normal business hours when needed to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
