We're looking for people who understand that exceptional retail is about more than completing a transaction. It's about making customers feel welcome, offering thoughtful recommendations, knowing the product and building relationships that make people want to return. Our ideal candidate has experience in luxury or boutique retail, fashion, beauty, home furnishings, interior design, hospitality or another high-touch customer environment and genuinely enjoys connecting with people.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Create a warm, elevated and approachable experience for every customer Actively engage customers, understand their needs and make thoughtful product recommendations Build relationships with repeat customers and participate in clienteling and customer follow-up Develop strong knowledge of our products, makers, artists and brands Confidently cross-sell and suggest complementary products through styling rather than high-pressure selling Introduce customers to additional TPS Co. offerings, including interior design, wallpaper, fabrics and window treatments when appropriate Process purchases, returns, pickups and online orders accurately Maintain an impeccably styled, clean and organized sales floor Restock, merchandise and refresh product throughout the day Receive, unpack, price and organize incoming merchandise Assist with inventory and back-stock organization Beautifully package and gift-wrap customer purchases Assist with in-store events, launches and private shopping experiences Contribute wherever needed to keep the store operating at a high level

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You are: Warm, polished and naturally engaging Confident speaking with customers and comfortable selling Stylish with an appreciation for interiors, fashion, art and design Dependable, punctual and professional MUST be Proactive, you notice what needs to be done without waiting to be asked Detail-oriented with a strong visual eye Comfortable learning product stories and sharing them with customers Able to read a customer and understand when to engage and when to give them space Collaborative and willing to jump in wherever needed Excited to be part of a growing independent business Previous premium or luxury retail experience and experience with relationship-based selling/clienteling are strongly preferred.

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time, in-person position in Cranford, NJ. Candidates should have flexible availability, including a combination of weekdays and weekends. Weekend availability is required , with occasional evening shifts and evening availability for store events.
