Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) Job Overview We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Associate to join our smoke shop team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment, provides excellent customer service, and is knowledgeable or willing to learn about vape products, cigars, tobacco, glass, and smoking accessories. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide a welcoming shopping experience. Operate the cash register and process cash, credit card, and mobile payments accurately. Assist customers with product selection and answer basic questions about merchandise. Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local age-verification laws. Restock shelves, organize displays, and keep the sales floor clean and well-maintained. Monitor inventory and notify management when products need to be reordered. Open and close the store following company procedures. Maintain a professional, positive attitude while assisting customers. Follow all company policies regarding safety, security, and compliance. Qualifications Previous retail or cashier experience preferred but not required. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Must be 21 years of age or older (or meet your state's legal age requirement for selling tobacco and vape products). Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of vape devices, e-liquids, cigars, tobacco products, hookah products, CBD, kratom, and smoking accessories. Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
