In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across long-distance routes, delivering freight efficiently and securely to various destinations. Your expertise will ensure that goods are transported in compliance with all federal and state regulations while maintaining excellent customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional driving team dedicated to excellence on the road. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, dry van and AMAZON across designated OTR routes while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals. Manage logistics cargo handling, including , securing, and unloading freight with attention to safety protocols. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports as mandated by FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, and potential delays. Requirements Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation is preferred. Knowledge of GPS navigation tools and route planning for efficient OTR driving. Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading and unloading processes. Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to truck driving. Experience with manual transmission trucks is a plus. Strong commitment to safety standards and excellent driving skills. Ability to work independently on long-distance routes while maintaining high levels of professionalism and reliability.
