Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, dry van and AMAZON across designated OTR routes while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals. Manage logistics cargo handling, including , securing, and unloading freight with attention to safety protocols. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports as mandated by FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, and potential delays. Requirements Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation is preferred. Knowledge of GPS navigation tools and route planning for efficient OTR driving. Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading and unloading processes. Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to truck driving. Experience with manual transmission trucks is a plus.
