Job description Liquor Store Clerk / Cashier Ski-Hi Liquors Ski-Hi Liquors is looking for a dependable, responsible, and customer-focused Liquor Store Clerk / Cashier. This position requires someone who understands the importance of following New Mexico alcohol sales laws, checking identification properly, and handling every sale with care. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide helpful, professional service Operate the cash register and process cash, card, and other transactions accurately Check customer IDs and verify legal age before alcohol sales Follow all New Mexico alcohol sales laws and store policies at all times Refuse sales when required by law or store policy Stock shelves, coolers, and displays Keep the store clean, organized, and presentable Monitor inventory and notify management when items are low Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries Maintain a safe and professional work environment Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Must have a valid New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit before starting work Must understand and follow legal requirements for selling alcohol Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible Must be comfortable checking IDs and refusing sales when necessary Cashier or retail experience preferred, but not required Must be able to stand for long periods and lift/move cases or boxes as needed Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required Preferred Qualifications Previous liquor store, convenience store, grocery, or retail experience Experience using a POS/cash register system Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits Strong customer service skills About the PositionThis is a customer-facing retail position where attention to detail and legal compliance are very important. The right candidate will be professional, dependable, and able to handle alcohol sales responsibly.
