The Village Ski Loft in Incline Village is seeking skilled, outdoor-enthusiastic candidates to join our dynamic team at one of Lake Tahoe's most iconic ski and bike shops. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and expert knowledge in ski and snowboard gear. Our mission is to ensure every visitor has an unforgettable experience in our shop and on the slopes.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting the right gear for their skiing, snowboarding, biking and outdoor needs.

Product Knowledge:

Maintain a thorough understanding of all products, including skis, snowboards, boots, bikes, and equipment accessories, to provide expert advice.

Sales:

Assist customers throughout their buying process, ensuring the customer decides to purchase the best equipment for their needs.

Apparel:

Advise customers on best-fit clothing

•an appreciation and empathy for women's apparel lines is an advantage

Inventory Management:

Assist with stock management, including receiving and organizing merchandise, conducting inventory counts, and maintaining a clean sales floor.

Rental Services:

Facilitate ski and snowboard rentals, including fitting equipment and educating customers on proper usage and safety.

Repairs & Tuning:

Assist in the maintenance and repair of ski and snowboard equipment, ensuring top performance for our customers.

Seasonal Promotions:

Collaborate with the team to implement seasonal promotions and events that drive sales and enhance customer engagement.

Qualifications:

Passion for the outdoors, skiing and snowboarding with a strong knowledge of equipment and techniques.

Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, especially in the sporting goods, outdoors industry.

Bright, engaging and smiling approach to customers with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Availability to work weekends and holidays during peak seasons.
