Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team at Marine Mate. This role involves stocking shelves, assisting customers with product recommendations, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store. Key Responsibilities:
Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner. Assist customers in finding products and provide recommendations based on their needs. Stock shelves, organize products, and ensure the store is well-maintained and visually appealing. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system. Maintain knowledge of our product range, including boat engine parts, cleaners, paints, electronics, and accessories. Answer customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and availability. Help with inventory management and replenishing stock. Ensure the store is clean, safe, and organized at all times. Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policy. Work collaboratively with team members to meet store goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred. Interest or experience in boating, marine products, or outdoor activities is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as required.
