Job Description Job Title:

Stock Clerk Job Summary:

The Stock Clerk is responsible for adequately stocking convenience store shelves and coolers. Also responsible for maintaining the pump islands.

Principal Duties:

• Greet customers in a friendly manner through attitude and actions
• Keeps coolers, store shelves and displays fully stocked and fronted at all times ensuring that product is within date and rotated
• Pull out-of-date merchandise off the shelf and store in designated area
• Look for any items in the store not tagged and address with manager
• Shares the responsibility for controlling the inventory in the store
• Keep the stock room neat and orderly, this includes breaking down the boxes and taking them to the recycle bin
• Clean cooler shelves, and sweep and mop the cooler and stock room floors
• Comply with safety regulations for moving heavy objects
• Ensure fueling station is clean and free of debris
• Clean gasoline islands and pumps, this includes maintaining clean water buckets, removal of trash and replacing liners, cleaning the trash cans
• Keeping the grounds looking presentable at all times
• Clean parking lot, picking up trash
• Coordinate with co-workers to accomplish large tasks efficiently
• Uses spare time to clean counters, aisles, shelves, windows, floors, gas pumps and bathrooms to ensure they remain clean at all times.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
• Immediately advises Store Manager of any maintenance problems and unsafe conditions
