This is not a "stand around and look tough" position. This is a high-accountability role requiring professionalism, consistency, customer service, and strict adherence to entry and safety procedures. Responsibilities Check IDs for every guest Use ID scanner for all required entries Apply wristbands correctly and consistently Conduct metal detector wand checks for all required entries and re-entries Check bags/purses for prohibited items Monitor front door, rear door, and interior activity Enforce no-loitering and access control rules Watch for intoxication, fights, weapons, drugs, and other safety risks De-escalate conflict calmly and professionally Complete clear written incident reports Work closely with bartenders, servers, and management Maintain a visible, respectful, customer-service presence Schedule is Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 9pm - 2:30am Requirements Must be reliable and on time every shift Must be able to follow written procedures exactly Must be calm under pressure Must be comfortable speaking to intoxicated or confrontational customers Must be willing to document incidents in writing Must present a professional appearance Must be able to stand/walk for long periods Must be available nights and weekends Must have reliable transportation Prior security, military, corrections, hospitality supervision, or loss prevention experience preferred This job is NOT for people who: want to hang out at the bar want exceptions for friends or regulars dislike rules or paperwork are looking for a place to drink, socialize, or be on their phone get emotional or aggressive during conflict Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: punctual observant respectful coachable detail-oriented confident without ego able to enforce rules the same way every time
