Description

DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

To operate a milling machine to cut, shape, or form metal work pieces to specifications

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Maintain standard 5S expectations
  • Perform accurate and timely 1st part inspections, as well as any other inspections required by management
  • Identify (including nonconforming dimensions) and separate all nonconforming parts
  • Produce parts at a rate which meets or exceeds accepted production standards
  • Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
  • Focus on Lean continuous improvement and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
  • Work effectively with all Stealth departments to exceed internal and external expectations and company and departmental goals and objectives
  • Stealth retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Must be a team player, detail-oriented, and honest Must have the ability to:
  • Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
  • Read prints and work to print specifications
  • Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages
  • Operate basic machine shop equipment, such as milling machines, lathes, drill press, and band saws
  • Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs Must have:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, both power and non-powered
  • A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • No experience required
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 6 months of hands-on hemsaw experience
  • Current or previous successful employment experience with Stealth Products (directly, independently or through a third party)
PREFERRED EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Technical School Training Certification
