We offer approximately 8,000 professional-grade beauty products, appliances, and tools. We sell to licensed beauty professionals. Armstrong McCall has a long and rich history in the professional beauty industry. The company was founded in 1939 by Dean McCall. He joined with Bob Armstrong to create their own beauty supply distributorship in Corpus Christi, Texas. After World War II, the Company relocated to Austin, Texas. By the mid-1960s, Dean McCall decided to sell the company-owned stores to independent distributors. That was the beginning of the Armstrong McCall franchise system. GENERAL SUMMARY A

Sales Associate focuses on creating a memorable shopping experience for our customers by building relationships and helping them find merchandise and make purchases in the store. Their duties include ensuring the store is appropriately stocked with merchandise, assisting customers as needed, and performing transactions like sales and returns.

Duties and Job Functions:

Build relationships with our customers Help customers find merchandise and make purchases in the store Taking orders over the phone or email and fulfilling those orders for pickup or deliveries Recommend additional and complimentary products to increase sales Inform customers of current promotions and events Setup advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events Ensure that inventory is replenished throughout the day Assist with inventory such as restocking and communicating inventory issues to management Complete transactions accurately and efficiently Opening and closing procedures Maintain a clean, safe, and professional store environment

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability Possess great interpersonal skills such as having a positive attitude, the willingness to work and learn, being a team player, and communication skills Good organization skills with attention to detail Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations Work Experience and/or

Education:

High school diploma required Customer service and retail experience is a must Knowledge of the beauty industry is a plus

Frequent walking and standing Frequent bending and kneeling to run check out station and stocking merchandise Frequent and proper lifting of up to 30 pounds Occasional climbing (using step stool) Fast-paced environment
