Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Clerk to join our team at Starbeam Liquor, a locally owned liquor store with multiple locations in the Greater Austin Area. As a Clerk, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers as they enter the store and provide assistance as needed. Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and debit card payments. Check identification for age verification in accordance with state alcohol laws. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area. Answer customer questions about products, store policies, and promotions. Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness. Follow all safety and security procedures, including handling of cash and inventory.

Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous cashier or retail experience preferred, but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
