Whether assisting with plant identification, floral design, or outdoor equipment, you'll play a key part in creating beautiful, functional landscapes while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting gardening supplies, plants, outdoor tools, and landscaping materials. Provide knowledgeable advice on lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture practices, and floral design to meet customer needs. Operate POS (point-of-sale) systems accurately for cash handling and transactions; manage retail math to ensure proper register balancing. Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves with seasonal plants, gardening products, and outdoor equipment. Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and plant identification to ensure product availability and freshness. Offer excellent customer service via in-person interactions and phone communication, addressing inquiries about outdoor work experience or multilingual support if applicable. Assist with floral arrangements or garden setup demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or outdoor work environments preferred; familiarity with lawn care, gardening, or landscape maintenance is a plus. Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customers. Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math to facilitate smooth transactions. Demonstrated organizational skills for merchandising, stocking, and maintaining product displays. Passion for horticulture, floral design, or gardening; ability to identify plants and recommend suitable solutions. Outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills; ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
