Duties Greet customers warmly, assist with product inquiries, and provide expert recommendations on our wide selection of beverages. Operate the cash register (POS system), handle retail sales transactions accurately, and manage cash drawer handling with integrity. Conduct product demos to showcase new or featured items, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities. Stock shelves efficiently, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store remains clean, organized, and inviting. Perform retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and inventory counts with precision. Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking orders. Supervise or assist in supervising junior staff or interns, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent customer service standards. Assist with inventory management by stocking new products and conducting regular stock checks to prevent shortages or overstocking. Promote store promotions and upsell products to maximize sales while providing knowledgeable advice on alcohol regulations and responsible service. Skills Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations to process transactions efficiently. Previous supervising experience in retail or grocery environments is highly valued. Strong communication skills to engage customers effectively and handle inquiries professionally. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs better. Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling and product demos to enhance customer experience. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls courteously and professionally. Experience in stocking, merchandising, and maintaining store presentation standards. Familiarity with retail math for pricing adjustments, discounts, and inventory management. Cash handling expertise ensuring accuracy in cash register operations and cash drawer management. Retail store product knowledge with an emphasis on beverages, including alcohol regulations if applicable. Grocery store experience is advantageous for understanding inventory flow and customer service expectations in a fast-paced environment.
