Job Description

The Retail Team Lead will assist management in the operation of the Goodwill retail store. This includes customer service, recordkeeping, cash management, facility operation, communications, merchandising, production, and inventory control. They will have a primary team they are responsible to work with when not assisting management with store operations (the retail sales floor team, or the back-room production team) as assigned by the Retail General Manager. Role and Responsibilities Assist the store management team with the overall operation of the retail store when scheduled or assigned. Ensure compliance with all GCT policies, including, but not limited to, reporting theft or misuse of company property or other illegal activities. Resolve customer complaints in a fair and impartial manner, referring all unsettled disputes to the store manager. Coach and train associates on their assigned team (sales floor or production) as a subject matter expert. Supervisory Responsibility This position is responsible for coaching and training the AI Merchandise Pricer, Merchandise Processor, and Sales Associate positions on their assigned team. This position does not have any direct reports. Required Skills & Qualifications At least 1 year of supervisory, leading a team, or equivalent experience. Work a flexible schedule in support of the store opening, production and closing operations. Ability to effectively communicate in English with customers and GCT associates. Keyholder responsibilities for open/closing securing the store as scheduled. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for eight hours. Ability to bend and twist. Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation. Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic). Must be big joe certified to load and unload trailers While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone, keyboard, reach, stoop and kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. Regular, predictable attendance is required as business demands dictate.
