Sales Associate - Shoes and Mens Department

Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Sales Associate specializing in Shoes and the Men's Department! In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face guiding customers through their shopping experience, helping them find the perfect footwear and apparel to match their style and needs. Your enthusiasm for retail, combined with your product knowledge and exceptional customer service skills, will drive sales and create memorable shopping moments. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting shoes and men's apparel that suit their preferences and fit requirements. Demonstrate product features through engaging product demos to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction. Provide personalized upselling recommendations to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are met. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for cash handling, transactions, and receipts, ensuring accuracy at all times. Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the department is visually appealing and well-stocked. Conduct regular stock checks, manage inventory levels, and assist with stocking to keep the department ready for customers. Offer excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments, maintaining clear communication. Support supervising team members when needed, including training new staff on POS systems, customer service standards, and store policies. Qualifications Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in footwear or mens apparel environments. Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math for accurate transactions. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively and provide excellent service. Experience in supervising or leading a team is advantageous but not required; leadership skills are valued. Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demos enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a busy store setting. Basic math skills necessary for cash register operations and inventory management; familiarity with grocery store environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
