Part-Time Visitor Services Associate Location:

Jamestown Rediscovery - A Preservation Virginia Site Are you passionate about history, enjoy engaging with people, and thrive in a dynamic, visitor-focused environment? Preservation Virginia is hiring a Visitor Services Associate to help create memorable experiences for guests at Jamestown Rediscovery. This part-time, front-line role focuses on delivering outstanding service to all site visitors. From welcoming guests and answering questions to handling admission transactions, you'll serve as the face of one of Virginia's most significant historical locations.

Compensation:

$18 per hour

Hours:

15-25 per week | Shifts run from 8:45 AM - 4:30 PM Weekend and holiday work is

REQUIRED.

If you are not available to work on Saturdays and Sundays, please do not apply. Some outdoor work is part of the job.

What You'll Do:

Greet and orient visitors as a welcoming representative of the Jamestown Rediscovery team. Deliver accurate and engaging information about site tours, programs, exhibits, and amenities. Process admissions purchases using a point-of-sale system with speed and accuracy. Provide helpful insights into the site's historical significance and surrounding attractions. Handle daily cash, credit, and check transactions, including opening and closing duties. Maintain a professional and calm demeanor, even during peak visitor hours. Work as part of a collaborative team, committed to inclusivity and guest satisfaction. Experienced with cash handling (required) and point-of-sale systems (preferred). Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Must pass a federal background check prior to employment. Ability to commit to weekend and holiday shifts.
