Job Description

We are looking for a highly engaged, problem solving, challenge seeking, innovative, disciplined, future oriented, enthusiastic, optimistic, and community minded person to lead our 2nd shift Grading Team Members. The ideal candidate is willing to take initiative, lead others to meet goals, and improve their skills in leadership, communication, and production processing. Responsibilities The Team Lead will assign and direct work of all team members, train and develop each team member to standard using Job-Instruction-Training (JI) methods and serve as leadership in the front-line operation of a Lean Daily Management System (DMS). The Team Lead will monitor the work performance of each team member and provide strong coaching and mentoring. Additional required duties are data entry and analysis, record keeping, and developmental counseling of Team Members. Successful completion of the Leadership Qualification Program, Job Relations (JR), and Job Instruction (JI) is required. Other trainings and tasks will be added as needed. Experience/Education/Knowledge Prior supervisory and manufacturing experience preferred, but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate. An online assessment will be required of all candidates. The assessment will help to choose the best candidate and assist in establishing their developmental training plan. Select candidates will take part in Columbia Forest Products Leadership Qualification Program (LQP), receive on-the-job training, and take part in learning-based events as they transition into the leadership role. This is a Salaried Exempt position. Annual base salary range $65,000 - $70,000 with an additional $5,000 shift differential. Columbia Forest Products is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
