Cashier/Sales Associate Taylor ave food mart Racine, WI Job Details Part-time $10 - $12 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Retail sales transactions Retail customer service procedures Cash amount verification Money orders Cash register operations Retail store experience Payment processing in food service POS systems Full Job Description Store Associate / Cashier We are looking for a reliable and experienced Store Associate / Cashier to join our team at Taylor Ave Food Mart Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Must have a valid BASSET certification to legally serve and sell alcohol Previous experience working in a convenience store liquor store or similar retail environment is required Must have experience operating a lottery machine Must have experience using a cash register and POS system Must have experience with bill payment services Must have experience processing money orders Must be comfortable handling cash and providing accurate change A background check will be required as part of the hiring process Must be reliable responsible and professional with customers Job Responsibilities Operate the cash register and POS system accurately Sell lottery tickets and operate the lottery machine Process customer bill payments accurately Process money orders accurately Handle cash and credit and debit transactions Count cash and provide accurate change Stock shelves and keep the store clean and organized Strictly check IDs for anyone who may be underage Never sell alcohol or other age restricted products to anyone who is underage Follow all state and local laws regarding the sale of alcohol and lottery products Follow all store policies and procedures for bill payments and money orders Provide friendly and professional customer service Help maintain a safe and clean store environment Important Following age verification and alcohol sale laws is a critical part of this position Employees are expected to consistently and properly check IDs and follow all store policies Employees must be careful and accurate when handling cash bill payments and money orders We are looking for someone dependable who already understands the responsibilities of working in a convenience store
