The purpose of the Sales Associate is to support the Retail Business Development Manager in driving territory growth, independently manage and expand specific targeted accounts, and act as the core operational liaison between customers and furniture dealers for Seaside Casual's Design Services.
Position Overview:
The Sales Associate serves as a key point of contact for smaller-scale regional accounts and design-led project support. This role balances proactive account management for Tier 3 and Tier 4 clients with cross-functional design coordination, ensuring seamless communication between internal teams, external furniture dealers, and end-use customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Growth Minded Drives revenue growth by directly managing, nurturing, and growing Tier 3 and Tier 4 accounts. Serves as secondary support for the Business Development Manager on Tier 1 and Tier 2 account preparation, quoting, and follow-up. Generates sales proposals, processes order inquiries, and assists customers in identifying product solutions. Conducts regular account follow-ups via phone, Zoom, and email to maintain engagement and capture reorder opportunities. Identifies upselling and cross-selling opportunities across existing account bases. Design Services & Dealer Liaison Acts as the primary liaison between end-user customers, Design Services, and furniture dealer partners to facilitate orders. Assists dealers with lead time tracking. Resolves project-level friction points, ensuring design quotes and order specifications are accurate prior to production. Teamwork & Support Assists the Business Development Manager with administrative, logistics, and account preparation tasks. Coordinates logistics and collateral prep for regional trade shows, customer home office visits, and dealer showroom updates. Collaborates closely with Customer Service, Marketing, and Operations to streamline order processing and delivery timelines. Travels occasionally for key regional customer visits, dealer showroom setups, or trade shows. Accommodates occasional travel for strategic planning meetings and brand training. Technology and Software Leverages Salesforce CRM to maintain clean account records, track sales pipelines, and log customer interactions. Utilizes communication and research tools ( ZoomInfo, Nextiva) to identify new Tier 3/4 prospective accounts. Reviews lead routing tools to respond quickly to incoming Design Services and sales inquiries.

A successful Sales Associate contributes to strong sales volume by maintaining a clean, actionable database and building lasting professional relationships through adaptability and effective cross-departmental communication.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a strategic sales support or dealer-facing role. Strong problem-solving skills with close attention to detail. Customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering concierge-level service. Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and empathetic listening). Competent computer skills with a strong willingness to embrace new CRM tools and office automation. Proven capacity to use data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
Physical Demands and Work Environment :
Frequently required to talk, hear, sit, twist, use hands/ fingers to push, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stand and walk. Regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception. The role primarily operates in a standard office setting but requires travel for business needs.
