Job Summary The Hardware Retail Associate serves as the primary representative of GBS/Wellman Hardware, embodying the company's commitment to excellent customer service and professional retail standards. This role involves engaging directly with customers to assist them in finding the hardware products or services they need, ensuring a positive shopping experience. The associate is also responsible for maintaining organized, well-stocked displays and managing inventory to support efficient store operations. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers in selecting hardware products, providing knowledgeable guidance to meet their needs Serve as the face of GBS/Wellman Hardware, representing the company's values and professionalism Maintain organized and attractive product displays to enhance the shopping environment Ensure all displays are clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked at all times Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock, restocking items as needed, and maintaining accurate inventory records Support merchandising efforts to promote products effectively and maximize sales opportunities Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer service Skills Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Good communication skills to assist customers effectively Ability to organize and maintain displays and inventory efficiently Attention to detail in keeping displays clean and well-stocked Basic knowledge of hardware products is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a retail setting
