A Retail Sales Associate sells merchandise or products in a retail store. Provides information about store merchandise, assists customers with finding items and encourages sales.
Apply Apply Description Retail Associate's primary responsibility is maintaining a highly positive customer experience by providing exceptional customer service. This includes in-depth practical and product knowledge of climbing, skiing and mountaineering; the ability to transfer that knowledge in a sensible fashion and a willingness to assist customers of all levels with their needs. Must be able to communicate well in a friendly, welcoming fashion. Other duties include being responsible for general store maintenance to keep sales floor appearance at its best. Accurate and efficient use of the POS system is mandatory. Benefits for this position include health insurance, paid time off, 401k match, and holiday pay. This position may require shifts on weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Authorized and responsible to continuously improve upon and perform all duties according to BDEL Quality, Safety and Employee Policies and procedures: 1. Assist customers with appropriate information, advice and service 2. Accurate entry of merchandise, payments and customer details in the Point of Sale (POS) system 3. Resolve issues involving customer relations and satisfaction 4. Fit customers properly for rental/demo equipment 5. Maintain store's clean, organized appearance 6. Perform other duties as assigned 7. Restocking and managing backstock including lifting boxes of gear 8. Open and close the store in the absence of store manager or assistant store manager.
