Job Description

The Produce Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the produce department within a retail environment. This role involves ensuring the highest quality of fresh produce is available to customers while managing inventory, staff, and sales strategies. The Produce Manager will collaborate with team members to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales growth through effective merchandising and training. Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the produce department, including inventory control and stock management. Ensure all produce is fresh, well-displayed, and meets quality standards. Collaborate with sales teams to develop promotional strategies that increase produce sales. Train and develop staff on best practices in produce handling, customer service, and retail math. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and product sales. Communicate effectively with team members and customers to address inquiries or concerns. Implement safety and sanitation standards in accordance with company policies. Experience Proven experience in a retail environment, preferably in a managerial role within the produce department. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Experience in sales management with a focus on driving results through collaboration. Ability to train and develop team members in both product knowledge and customer service skills. This position requires a proactive approach to leadership within the produce department, emphasizing quality, teamwork, and customer engagement.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
