A Retail Associate Manager assists the manager at a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. Supervises sales associates and retail store operations. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. May prepare work schedules and hire, train and evaluate sales associates. May supervise warehouse, cleaning, maintenance or security staff. Assists with resolving customer complaints.

Job Description
- Partner with the Store Manager to run daily operations — pace the floor, assign the work, and keep the team ready through peak and slow
- Coach and develop associates day to day: model the customer experience, teach product, and give clear, timely feedback
- Hold the whole team to SCV's service and presentation standards — lead by example, not by exception
- Step in on customer issues and resolve them professionally
- Address friction on the team early and fairly, and keep the Manager informed
- Own opening and closing routines, cash handling, and floor-to-back organization
- Operate and troubleshoot the tech that drives sales — Shopify POS and related systems
- Build real product knowledge on crystals and minerals, and grow the team's knowledge alongside your own
- Carry key-holder and manager-on-duty responsibility when the Store Manager is out What You Bring
- Retail leadership experience — at least 1-2 years supervising, leading shifts, or key-holding on a retail floor (required)
- A track record of coaching people, not just directing them — you develop the associates around you
- Sound judgment when the manual doesn't cover it, and ownership of the outcome either way
- Comfort giving direct, respectful feedback and following up on it
- Genuine customer curiosity and strong communication
- Confidence with POS, cash handling, and basic retail math
- Weekend availability (required) — Saturdays and Sundays are our busiest days
- Reliable transportation to Uptown Sedona — we're not on a public transit route
