Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Finishline Store Manager to lead our retail team within a high-traffic department store environment. Responsibilities Lead and motivate the retail sales team to meet and exceed sales targets through effective coaching, training, and performance management. Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control to ensure product availability and presentation standards are maintained. Manage daily store operations such as opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems operation, and payroll processing. Implement employee orientation programs, conduct interviews for hiring new team members, and participate in recruiting efforts to build a strong retail team. Supervise shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to optimize sales coverage while controlling labor costs. Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints promptly, and ensuring a welcoming shopping environment. Execute operational tasks such as pricing strategies, merchandising plans, stock organization, and bookkeeping to support store profitability. Utilize management skills in budgeting, sales management, and operational planning to drive store success. Qualifications Proven experience in retail store management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of inventory management, POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math principles. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and manage managerial communication across all levels. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development, and leadership. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Familiarity with operational management tasks such as purchasing, pricing strategies, stock control, and bookkeeping is essential. Experience with retail sales team management including supervising sales associates in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently using time management techniques. Basic math skills necessary for daily financial transactions and inventory calculations.
