Here's a breakdown of the key duties and responsibilities typically associated with this role: 1.
Operational Oversight:
Workflow Management :
Ensure that the repair process is smooth, efficient, and timely, coordinating between technicians, estimators, and other staff.
Quality Control :
Implement processes and standards to ensure high-quality repairs that meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
Inventory and Equipment :
Manage the ordering of parts, supplies, and maintaining the necessary tools and equipment. 2.
Financial Performance:
Budget Management :
Develop and manage the center's budget, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue.
Profitability Goals :
Monitor performance metrics such as revenue, gross profit, labor efficiency, and customer satisfaction, taking actions to improve.
Reporting :
Provide regular financial and operational reports to higher management or owners. 3.
Customer Relations:
Customer Satisfaction :
Ensure customers are satisfied with the quality and timeliness of repairs, handling escalations or complaints directly when necessary.
Sales and Service :
Work with customers to explain repair estimates, answer questions, and provide guidance, often in collaboration with estimators.
Marketing and Sales Strategies :

Team Leadership:
Staff Management :
Hire, train, and supervise staff, including estimators, technicians, and administrative personnel.
Scheduling :
Organize work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal use of staff resources.
Performance Reviews :

  • Autobody shop experience
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills
  • Proven track record in retail sales and customer service
  • Ability to lead a team and manage GM vehicles effectively
  • Experience in outbound sales and sales support
  • Knowledge of inventory management and organizational skills
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus
