Job Description

Position Summary The Starbucks Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the daily operations of a high-volume coffee retail environment. This position plays a key leadership role in ensuring excellent customer service, operational efficiency, employee development, and compliance with company and organizational standards. The Assistant Store Manager serves as a role model for Starbucks values while helping drive sales, quality, and team engagement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures Support hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management of store partners Ensure exceptional customer service and promptly address customer concerns or service recovery needs Maintain compliance with food safety, health, safety, and sanitation standards Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and minimize waste and loss Assist with cash handling, deposits, and basic financial reporting Enforce company policies, procedures, and standards consistently and fairly Coach and develop team members to support growth, engagement, and retention Step in as acting Store Manager in the Store Manager's absence Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred Minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory experience in retail or food service preferred Prior Starbucks or similar quick-service environment experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills Ability to motivate, train, and lead a diverse team Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with food and beverage preparation

From $52,000.00 per year
