full-time VDC Manager | Brea, CA | $150,000 to $165,000 Base + $10,000 to $40,000 Annual Bonus | 401K Match + great benefits | strong opportunity to advance A large commercial drywall contractor with three California offices and 500+ employees is hiring a VDC Manager to lead its BIM/VDC department companywide. This role is based in Brea and oversees a team of roughly 15 across all three offices. This is a department leadership seat, not a production modeling job. You will set the standards, own the technology roadmap, mentor the modelers and coordinators, and make sure the field is getting models it can actually build from. Leadership is invested in VDC as a competitive advantage, and they want someone who can grow the function rather than just maintain it. What you will do Lead and develop the BIM/VDC team across three offices, including hiring, training, and performance Own VDC standards, workflows, templates, and software decisions companywide Oversee model coordination and clash resolution with GCs, architects, and trade partners Partner with preconstruction, project management, and field leadership to get models into production use (layout, prefab, quantification, installation) Manage schedules, deliverables, and resource allocation across a large project portfolio Report on VDC performance and continue building out the department's capabilities What we are looking for Experience leading or supervising a BIM/VDC team, or a senior VDC professional ready to step up into department leadership Strong command of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (layout tools like Trimble or HP SitePrint are a plus) Solid understanding of commercial construction coordination and how models get used in the field Background with either a general contractor or a specialty subcontractor is welcome.
