Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Furniture Finishing Shop Foreman to lead our finishing team. This role is ideal for a skilled finisher who either has management experience or is ready to grow into a leadership position.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the finishing shop, including sanding, staining, and finishing processes Lead, train, and supervise finishing team members Ensure quality standards are met on all finished products Coordinate workflow and schedules to meet production deadlines, updating computer system as orders start/stop Communicate effectively with both English- and Spanish-speaking team members Troubleshoot finishing issues and maintain consistent quality control Create and maintain finish standards and recipes Work with materials supplier to utilize highest quality materials and to utilize best-in-class finish processes Use ERP and MS365 systems to track production, inventory and workflow
Requirements:
Proven experience in furniture finishing (sanding, staining, sealing, topcoats, etc.) Strong technical knowledge of sanding and finishing techniques and equipment Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Teams) Management/supervisory experience OR strong desire to grow into a leadership role Bilingual in English and Spanish (required) Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
