We carry military surplus, outdoor and tactical gear, airsoft, clothing, boots, backpacks, knives, swords, and unexpected finds you won't see everywhere else. You get the benefit of working at a place that sells fun things but also has an amazing schedule! Unlike most retail, the store is open 10-6 everyday! No overnights, no special scheduling for sales/black Friday. A true work/life balance! What you'll do As our Retail Store Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations to ensure exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. You will manage inventory, supervise staff, and uphold our standards of quality and authenticity in product offerings. Responsibilities Lead daily store operations to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and employee growth. Manage inventory control processes to optimize stock levels and minimize shrinkage. Supervise and train staff on customer service best practices and product knowledge. Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and maximize sales. Utilize POS systems for accurate sales transactions and efficient inventory management. Monitor sales performance metrics and develop strategies to achieve sales goals. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all aspects of store management. Act as the store manager when the store manager is unavailable. Qualifications Proven experience in retail management and store operations. Must have at least 2 years as an assistant, managing more that 5 people on a shift. Knowledge of military surplus, airsoft, knives and or self protection products is advantageous but not required. We can train the right individual Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering exceptional shopping experiences. Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Familiarity with inventory control systems and proficiency in POS technology. Effective communication skills for engaging with customers and motivating team members. Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. $22.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 38.0 - 40.0 per week
