POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead daily retail operations across our Dover and Georgetown locations. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the General Manager owns the day-to-day performance of the stores — including team leadership, scheduling, cash and financial controls, compliance, and the overall customer experience. This is a working management role for someone who leads from the floor, sets a high standard, and thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. The General Manager splits their working time on a regular schedule between the Dover and Georgetown stores, so the ability to lead two teams and stay organized across sites is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Customer Experience Oversee daily opening and closing procedures at both locations, ensuring each store is audit-ready, well-merchandised, and fully staffed. Champion an outstanding customer experience and resolve escalated customer matters with professionalism and sound judgment. Maintain a clean, safe, and secure retail environment consistent with company standards and brand. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, hire, onboard, and train retail staff, building a motivated and accountable team across both stores. Create and manage staff schedules to align coverage with customer traffic and labor targets. Conduct performance reviews, ongoing coaching, and corrective action as needed. Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and personnel records. Financial & Cash Management Manage cash handling, drawer counts, cash drops, bank deposits, and end-of-day reconciliation. Coordinate payroll and timekeeping, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time processing. Monitor store performance against sales and labor goals and report results to the COO. Compliance & Inventory Ensure both locations operate in full compliance with Delaware cannabis regulations and company standard operating procedures. Maintain the records required for state reporting and be prepared for regulatory inspections at all times. Partner with the Inventory Lead on product flow, ordering, and stock accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be able to pass a Delaware state cannabis background check and fingerprinting prior to start (required by state law). 2+ years of retail, hospitality, or multi-unit management experience. Demonstrated ability to lead, schedule, and develop a team. Experience with cash handling and financial controls. Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS), scheduling, payroll, and timekeeping systems. Reliable transportation to split working time on a regular schedule between the Dover and Georgetown locations. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Preferred Prior experience in a licensed cannabis dispensary or another highly regulated retail environment. Working knowledge of Delaware cannabis regulations. Experience managing across multiple retail locations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Full-time, exempt (salaried) role that splits time on a regular schedule between the Dover and Georgetown, DE locations; reliable transportation and comfort commuting between the two sites is required. Ability to stand and move about the store for extended periods and occasionally lift up to [25-50] lbs. Fast-paced retail environment with exposure to cannabis products.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
