Responsibilities Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and stock replenishment to ensure product availability and presentation standards are maintained. Lead, supervise, and motivate retail staff by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a productive team environment. Manage purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and supplier negotiations to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive offerings. Implement effective inventory control procedures to minimize waste and shrinkage while ensuring accurate stock levels through regular audits. Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales processing, cash handling, and reporting; ensure all transactions are accurate and compliant with company policies. Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed store targets; monitor sales trends and adjust plans accordingly. Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring overall satisfaction. Coordinate shift schedules, manage payroll processes, and oversee cashiering duties to ensure smooth store operations at all times. Requirements Proven management experience within the retail industry, specifically in grocery or supermarket settings. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, POS systems, merchandising techniques, and operational procedures. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, purchasing, budgeting, and sales management. Experience supervising teams with excellent leadership capabilities; effective communication skills are essential for training and managerial communication. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Familiarity with retail math including pricing strategies, profit margins, and basic financial analysis. Previous experience with employee orientation, training & development programs, recruiting efforts, and payroll processing is highly desirable.
